Starting the Conversation

A key part of prevention is conversation.

Talking to our children and youth about sex, sexual relationships, and sexual harm can be uncomfortable and make us squirm. But those conversations can be the difference between safety and harm. If these parents can do it, so can you.

Here are some guidelines for parents and caregivers who are preparing to start the conversation presented by Karen Smith at the Partners in Prevention Symposium.
